During Wednesday’s American Health Care Association/NCAL 68th Annual Convention, Arkansas’s Shley Blankenship was designated chair of the National Center for Assisted Living Board of Directors for 2017-2018. Additionally, additional board members and officials were selected.

The NCAL Executive Director, Scott Tittle, expressed his pride in the group of leaders who are “bringing their insight and diverse experience to the table at a time of incredible growth and change for assisted living.” They are a smart and thoughtful bunch. “We are excited about the prospect of our new board guiding the assisted living industry into the future with great success.”

Blankenship owns and runs four assisted care facilities in Arkansas as the VP of operations at Southridge Village Assisted care. From 2010 until her departure, she served as vice chair, secretary/treasurer, and at-large representative on the NCAL board. Not only that, but she was in charge of the Risk Management Work Group and co-chaired the Council for Independent Owner-Assisted Living.
