Joe Kleine grew up in Evansville, where his love for basketball developed at a young age. He attended Memorial High School, where he excelled as a basketball player, gaining attention for his skills and leadership on the court. After graduating high school, he took his talents to the University of Arkansas, where he played for the Razorbacks under the renowned coach Eddie Sutton.
