Comedian, actor, and playwright Joseph Roland Wilkinson came into this world on May 2, 1975, in England. He has been doing stand-up comedy since 2004 and has opened for Alan Carr and Russell Howard. In addition to his solo tours that began in 2011, he has made many appearances on television shows including Live at the Electric.

In 2012, he made his debut on the show, first serving as Rachel Riley’s assistant. He now often appears as a panelist or serves as a guest team leader. Two Episodes of Mash is another comedic pair in which he appears, with Diane Morgan. As a fundraiser for Stand Up to Cancer UK, Wilkinson took home the trophy in 2019’s celebrity edition of The Great British Bake Off.

Wilkinson has been a guest star on many TV series since 2010. He has several roles in Robert’s Web’s 2010 pilot. His television appearances include My Funniest Year, Comedy Lab, The Rob Brydon Show, The Wright Stuff, Show & Tell, and the film England’s Worst Ever Football Team.

His portrayal of Dan Perkins, Becky, and Steve’s lonely and uncomfortable neighbor, was a prominent one in Him & Her.Wilkinson often appears on well-known British talk programs. In addition to his appearances on Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 Out of 10 Cats, and Have I Got News for You, he has also done stand-up comedy on Russell Howard’s Good News. He was a guest star in Miranda.

The 2012 animated short “A Fishy Tale” and three episodes of “Anna & Katy” were both written by Wilkinson. He wrote three episodes of Show & Tell and the 2001 edition of My Funniest Year.
As half of the comic duo Two Episodes of Mash with Diane Morgan, Wilkinson appeared on Live at the Electric, a BBC Three comedy program. Prior airings were on BBC Radio 2.
