Mike Tyson was born on June 30, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York City. He was raised in a challenging environment characterized by poverty and crime. Tyson’s early life was marked by instability; he was raised by his mother, Lorna Tyson, after his father abandoned the family when Mike was just two years old. Lorna struggled to support her three children, and Tyson often faced bullying and violence on the streets of Brownsville, Brooklyn.
At a young age, Tyson developed a fascination with boxing, inspired by the sport’s fierce nature. He found himself involved in petty crime and street fighting, but his talent as a boxer soon became apparent. After being introduced to boxing at the age of 12, Tyson began training with Cus D’Amato, a legendary trainer who recognized his potential.
