Patrick Wayne is an American actor and the eldest son of legendary actor John Wayne. Patrick John Morrison was born on July 15, 1939, in Los Angeles, California. He was the first of four children born to John Wayne and his second wife, Esperanza “Chata” Baur. Growing up in a show business family, Patrick was exposed to the entertainment industry from an early age. He adopted his father’s professional surname, Wayne, when he entered the acting world.
Patrick attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he studied political science and history before pursuing a career in acting. He made his screen debut at the age of 12, appearing in The Quiet Man (1952), a film directed by his father.
