Post Malone, born Austin Richard Post on July 4, 1995, in Syracuse, New York, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer known for his genre-blending music that combines elements of hip-hop, pop, rock, and country. He grew up in a musical household, influenced by various genres, from rock and hip-hop to country, which would later shape his eclectic sound. When he was nine, his family moved to Grapevine, Texas, where he was introduced to the guitar by his father, who was a DJ. This early exposure to music laid the foundation for his future career.
Malone’s interest in music intensified during his teenage years, especially after he discovered the music production software FL Studio. He began creating his tracks, drawing inspiration from artists like 50 Cent, Bob Dylan, and Kurt Cobain. In high school, he formed a band and began to develop his style, combining melodic hooks with a laid-back vocal delivery. After graduating, he briefly attended college but dropped out to pursue a music career full-time.
