Rodney A. Grant is an American actor of Native American descent, best known for his role as “Wind In His Hair” in the Academy Award-winning film Dances with Wolves (1990). Grant was born on March 9, 1959, in Macy, Nebraska, and is a member of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. He had a challenging childhood; raised primarily by his grandparents, Grant experienced significant cultural connections and learned much about his heritage through their guidance.
