Simu Liu’s family emigrated to Canada when he was a little boy from Harbin, Heilongjiang, China. He was born on April 19, 1989. Life in Mississauga, Ontario was his childhood. Liu was famous for his stunt work and had a background in finance before he got into show business.

Playing the lead part of Shang-Chi in the 2021 Marvel Studios picture “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” was Simu Liu’s big break. Because it featured the first Asian superhero to star in an MCU film, the picture was a watershed moment.

Liu made a reputation for himself before “Shang-Chi” when he played the lead character of Jung Kim in the Canadian comedy series “Kim’s Convenience” (2016–2021). He received a lot of praise for his role in the series.
