The Mexican singer-songwriter-actress Alejandra Guzmán is known as the “Queen of Rock” among Spanish-speaking audiences. She was born Silvia Pinal, daughter of the famed Mexican actress, and Enrique Guzmán, son of the famous Mexican rock and roll singer, on February 9, 1968, in Mexico City, Mexico. As a result of her early exposure to show business, Guzmán rose to prominence in the Latin music industry.

The late 1980s saw the publication of Guzmán’s first album, “Bye Mama,” which had minor popularity and marked the beginning of her musical career. She became famous with the 1989 publication of her second album, “¿Dónde Están los Ladrones?” (Where Are the Thieves?).
