Famous for developing and producing several hit TV shows, Donald P. Bellisario is a screenwriter and producer from the United States. Bellisario made an indelible impression on television during his lengthy career, which began on August 8, 1935, in Cokeburg, Pennsylvania, USA.

After his time in the US Marine Corps came to an end, Bellisario started his career in television writing. In the 1970s, he was a writer and producer for several series, including “Magnum, P.I.,” “Baa Baa Black Sheep” (sometimes called “Black Sheep Squadron”), and “Battlestar Galactica.” He owes much of his success as a storyteller to the formative events of his youth.

When Bellisario developed the groundbreaking 1980s military drama series “Magnum, P.I.,” which starred Tom Selleck as the likable private investigator Thomas Magnum, he achieved breakthrough success.
