A well-known Czech actress, Klára Issová has appeared in a wide variety of roles in cinema, television, and the stage. Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic) on August 26, 1979, Issová is widely considered to be one of the most gifted and esteemed actors in her own country and internationally.

Performing in several stage and screenplays in the Czech Republic, Issová got her start in the industry at an early age. Ondřej Trojan’s highly praised 2003 film “Zelary” was her big break. She won many awards, including the Czech Lion for Best Actress, for her performance as the protagonist, a nurse who has gone into hiding during WWII.

The star of “Zelary,” Issová, continued to hone her acting chops after the film’s triumph. She demonstrated her versatility and ability as an actress by appearing in a wide variety of films. “Beauty in Trouble” (2006), “The Country Teacher” (2008), and “The Snake Brothers” (2015) are a few of her significant film credits.
