It was in the City of Angels that Lynne Marie Stewart spent her formative years. She started acting in school plays and community theater performances when she was a little girl, following her love of the performing arts. Stewart continued her education in the performing arts at UCLA after dropping out of high school.

The late 1960s saw Stewart’s acting career get underway, with her television debut appearing in an episode of “The F.B.I.” (1968), a criminal drama series. A number of her appearances in the 1970s and 1980s television series included “The Waltons,” “Starsky & Hutch,” and “Little House on the Prairie.”

Stewart played the part of Miss Yvonne on the hit kids’ TV show “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” (1986–1990) in the 1980s, which was one of her most famous performances to that point. Stewart became a fan favorite and an iconic element of the show’s heritage as she portrayed Pee-wee Herman’s quirky and gorgeous neighbor.

“Cheech & Chong’s Up in Smoke” (1978), “American Graffiti” (1973), and “Bridesmaids” (2011) are just a few of Stewart’s film appearances, in addition to her television work. Her acting skills are on full display throughout her filmography, which includes both comedic and dramatic performances.
