Retired American football quarterback Peyton Manning, who was born on March 24, 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana, is widely considered one of the league’s all-time greats. Manning had a remarkable 18-year career in the NFL, during which he became well-known for his leadership, intellect, and prolific throwing.

After graduating from the University of Tennessee, the Indianapolis Colts drafted quarterback Peyton Manning with the first overall choice in the 1998 NFL Draft. He played with the Colts for the first 14 years of his career, when he established himself as a legend and won many MVP trophies.

Many passing records, such as career touchdown passes and passing yards in a season, were established by Manning over his career. His football IQ, preparedness, and ability to read defenses and adapt at the line of scrimmage were all highly regarded.

Super Bowl XLI (2007) was Manning’s biggest success as a player, as he guided the Colts to victory and was awarded the game’s Most Valuable Player. After a number of operations on his neck, Manning signed with the Denver Broncos in 2012, where he promptly won another MVP award and advanced to Super Bowl 50 (2016).

Manning’s friendly demeanor and quick wit have made him a fan favorite off the field. He’s hosted “Saturday Night Live,” starred in a ton of commercials, and does a lot of good work in the community.

Peyton Manning is unquestionably one of the best quarterbacks of all time because of his unparalleled effect on the field and his lasting impact on the position. He entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame that year (2021).
