Tim Southee was born in Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand, on December 11, 1988, and is a professional cricketer. In the annals of New Zealand cricket, he is generally considered a top fast bowler.

In an ODI match against England in February 2008, Southee made his national cricket team debut for New Zealand. He also made his Test debut later that year, again against England. Southee became an integral component of the New Zealand bowling attack due to his constant speed and his talent at both sides swinging the ball.

Among Southee’s many outstanding Test performances is his 2013 Lord’s haul of seven wickets against England. With or without the ball, he has been an integral part of New Zealand’s Test match success.

The dependable Southee has been a mainstay in one-day internationals, where he has a reputation for taking key wickets. Demonstrating his mettle under intense scrutiny, he was instrumental in New Zealand’s advancement to the ICC Cricket World Cup final in both 2015 and 2019.
