The Kelces were always big sports fans; Travis’s elder brother Jason was a successful NFL player as well. While a student at Ohio’s Cleveland Heights High School, Kelce was a three-sport standout. He was considered one of the nation’s best tight-end prospects due to his impressive football skills.

Kelce continued playing football at the college level with the Bearcats of the University of Cincinnati. Despite some early disciplinary problems, Kelce evolved as a person and a player for the Bearcats, and he ended up becoming a strong player.
