American Aaron Holbert came into this world in Torrance, California, on January 9, 1973. He was a baseball prodigy at Long Beach, California’s David Starr Jordan High School. From his high school days forward, Holbert was a first-round choice (number 32) by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1990 Major League Baseball Draft.

Holbert worked his way up the Cardinals’ farm system for a while, mostly playing infielder in the minor levels. On September 3, 1996, at the age of 23, he debuted in Major League Baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals. Not only did Holbert play professionally in Japan, but he also spent time in the systems of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Aaron Holbert made the switch to teaching when his playing days were over. He got his start in the field as a manager and teacher for many MLB franchises while playing in the minor levels. Among Holbert’s coaching duties were those of hitting coach for the Cincinnati Reds’ Triple-A club and manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Rookie-level organization.

Holbert is a coach who emphasizes mental toughness, basics, and player development. He has a stellar reputation for developing strong relationships with his athletes and guiding them to reach their full athletic potential. Being a former player himself, Holbert can empathize with the struggles and dreams of young players, which he uses in his teaching style.
