Born into a multiethnic family in Karachi, Pakistan, Dilshad Vadsaria grew up learning about many cultures. While she was a little girl, her family uprooted and moved to the United States, eventually residing in places like Richmond, Virginia, and Chicago, Illinois. Even as a young child, Vadsaria showed an interest in performing, and she went on to star in school and community theater performances.

She did her undergraduate study in acting at the University of Delaware, where she earned a BFA in theatrical arts. While in university, Vadsaria took acting lessons, attended workshops, and performed on stage to further develop her skills.

Several television series and short films included Dilshad Vadsaria’s early acting roles. Her first television appearance was in a 2006 episode of the courtroom drama “Vanished” as a guest star. She got her start in the business thanks to her early gigs, which gave her exposure and experience.

For Vadsaria, her breakout role came from 2007–2011 on the ABC Family (now Freeform) adolescent drama “Greek,” where she played Rebecca Logan. Critics and viewers alike lauded Vadsaria for her portrayal of the driven and well-off student Rebecca at Cyprus-Rhodes University. The success of “Greek” catapulted Vadsaria to the forefront of the entertainment world.
