American singer-act actor Andrew Russell is also known for his voice acting roles. In Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, the English dub features him as Luka Couffaine. In addition to his photography, voiceover, and vlogging channels on YouTube, Andrew also has one for voiceover work.

It’s fascinating to hear Andrew’s story of how he got into voice acting. His professional life began on stage, and more specifically, in musical theater. Before moving into voice acting, he spent over two years touring with the Broadway version of Jersey Boys. A big part of what made him successful professionally was his passion for video games, particularly World of Warcraft.

Andrew told me that he became interested in voice acting when he realized that actual people did the voices in video games. From that point on, he dedicated himself to perfecting his craft, studying various accents and impressions. His training in the theater gave him the groundwork he needed to become a professional voice actor. Fortunately, it helped him get the role of Kalecgos’s voice actor.
