American actress Shae D’lyn came into this world on November 24, 1963, in Abilene, Texas. Her breakout performances include the character of Cousin Vicki in the film Vegas Vacation, her recurring position as Carolyn Rothstein on Boardwalk Empire, and her series regular role as Jane Deaux/Cavanaugh on the comedy Dharma & Greg.

Following her graduation with honors from UVA, D’Lyn found employment on Wall Street as an investment analyst for Morrow & Co. She spent a year in the Big Apple before relocating to Boston to take a position as VP of real estate investment banking for Boston Capital Partners. In this role, she helped investors qualify for tax credits by syndicating low-income housing. She applied to acting school and got in after becoming bored with financial services.

Almost soon after finishing college, D’lyn began appearing in movies and TV shows. In 1993, she made her television debut in an episode of Quantum Leap, and she went on to star in the TNT adaptation of Arthur Miller’s The American Clock the following year. Her television credits include Dharma & Greg (1997–2001), Ellen, Law & Order, and, most recently, 2014’s Boardwalk Empire, where she played Carolyn Rothstein.
