She came from a famous entertainment family; her father, Roberto Cantoral, was a famous composer, and her mother, Itati Zucchi, was an Argentine actress. She was born on May 13, 1975, in Mexico City, Mexico.

Cantoral made her television acting debut in the early 1980s, while she was still very young. She was already a popular actress in Mexico before her debut performance as Soraya Montenegro in the 1995 serial “Maria la del Barrio” catapulted her to prominence.
