Pierrefonds, Quebec, Canada is the place of Peter Worrell’s birth on September 18, 1977. He had a lifelong love and talent for the sport of hockey, which he honed as a child growing up in the Montreal region. Worrell planned to become a professional hockey enforcer once his stature and aggression on the rink became obvious.

While playing with the Hull Olympiques of the QMJHL, Worrell was a junior hockey player. When he was a junior hockey player, he was famous for his fearsome fighting skills and his will to defend his teammates at all costs.

In the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, the Florida Panthers picked Peter Worrell in the seventh round. During the 1997–1998 season, he debuted with the Panthers in the National Hockey League and immediately became one of the most feared enforcers in the league. Everyone, from teammates to opponents, looked up to Worrell because of his physical presence and his readiness to put down the gloves.

Worrell was an imposing left winger who used his bulk and muscle to open up scoring chances for his teammates and put his opponents on the defensive during his time in the National Hockey League. Throughout his career, he was mostly with the Florida Panthers, but he also played for the Colorado Avalanche and the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
