Outfielder Tito Landrum was born Terry Lee Landrum on October 25, 1954, in Joplin, Missouri. He played professionally in baseball for a while. From 1980 to 1988, Landrum was a member of several Major League Baseball clubs.

Landrum showcased his abilities as a talented outfielder and hitter while attending high school in Joplin, where he excelled in baseball. Scouts took notice of his play, and the St. Louis Cardinals picked him up in the eleventh round of the 1976 Major League Baseball Draft.

He debuted on September 2, 1980, with the St. Louis Cardinals in Major League Baseball. For five years, Landrum was an integral part of the Cardinals’ offense, playing every snap and providing solid depth off the bench. Among his memorable experiences with the Cardinals was his critical part in the team’s 1982 World Series victory against the Milwaukee Brewers.

After his time with the Cardinals ended, Landrum continued his Major League Baseball career with the Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Cincinnati Reds, among others. Despite never repeating the Cardinals’ level of success, Landrum was still a highly regarded player for his outfield flexibility, speed, and defensive prowess.
