An all-time great in the world of business and investing, Warren Buffett was born on August 30, 1930, in Omaha, Nebraska. Buffett, who goes by the moniker “Oracle of Omaha,” presides over and oversees operations at the Omaha-based international holding corporation Berkshire Hathaway.

From an early age, Buffett set out on the path that would lead him to become one of the world’s richest people. He had an interest in business and investment from a young age, and he showed a natural talent for numbers and finances. In his childhood, Buffett was an entrepreneur who started several modest enterprises, including selling soda, chewing gum, and newspapers.

Buffett attended Columbia Business School and received a Master of Science in economics after earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Nebraska.
