Born Alicia Starbuck in Birmingham, Alabama on February 14, 1951, American figure skater, actress, and TV personality JoJo Starbuck’s career has taken off since then. Known for her grace, agility, and creative expression on the ice, she became one of the world’s best couples figure skaters in the ’60s and ’70s.

Even as a young child, Starbucks showed remarkable skill on the ice. Throughout her career, she and her partner Kenneth Shelley won several national and international medals in couples figure skating, an event in which they excelled. From 1970 to 1972, Starbuck and Shelley won the title of U.S. pairs champions. They went on to represent the US in several Winter Olympics and World Figure Skating Championships.

Not only did Starbucks excel in competition skating, but she also revolutionized the sport with her creative interpretations of skating routines and groundbreaking choreography. Grace, accuracy, and profound emotional depth defined her performances, which captivated spectators all over the globe and garnered her immense appreciation from fans and other skaters.
