American Michael DeLuise has a reputation as an actor and filmmaker. His family has always been involved in show business, and he was born into it on August 4, 1969, in Los Angeles, California. In addition to his siblings, actor Peter DeLuise and writer/producer David DeLuise, he is the son of actress Carol Arthur and comedian Dom DeLuise.

In the late 1970s, DeLuise started appearing in films and TV series, which launched his acting career. He became famous for his parts in Rockne S. O’Bannon’s “SeaQuest DSV” (1993–1996) and Patrick Hasburgh and Stephen J. Cannell’s comedy-drama series “21 Jump Street” (1987–1991).

On “21 Jump Street,” DeLuise played the role of Officer Joey Penhall, a young undercover cop who investigates crimes on college and high school campuses. While filming “SeaQuest DSV,” he portrayed Tony Piccolo, a futuristic submariner who explores the ocean’s depths.

Having appeared in several films and TV series across many genres, DeLuise has shown again and again that he is a versatile performer. He has been in several more shows, including “Gilmore Girls,” “The Sopranos,” “NYPD Blue,” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” to name a few.
