He was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, by Steven Ogg. Ogg is very reticent about his life, thus nothing is known about his upbringing and schooling. But we do know that he had a late-in-life interest in acting, which he pursued with all his heart.

Beginning in the mid-2000s with guest appearances on TV and in a few films, Ogg started his acting career. His early television appearances were as a guest star on series such as “Law & Order,” “Third Watch,” and “The Education of Max Bickford.” He was able to build his reputation and expertise in the business via these early assignments.

The 2013 video game “Grand Theft Auto V,” in which Ogg starred as Trevor Philips, one of the three main characters, was a critical and commercial success.
