Born in the United States on October 4, 1947, Glenn Charles Adams is a former Major League Baseball designated hitter and corner outfielder. He had an eight-year MLB career, during which he was a member of the Giants, Twins, and Blue Jays.

In Springfield, Massachusetts, Adams attended Springfield College, where he played collegiate baseball. A 1967 Cape Cod Baseball League all-star, he played summer baseball with the Harwich Mariners when he was a college student. In the 1968 amateur draught, the Houston Astros selected Adams with the fourth overall choice, in the first round of the draft.

The Astros dismissed Adams in January 1972 after he had played in the minor leagues for four seasons, reaching AAA. After the 1972 season concluded, he signed with the San Francisco Giants, even though he missed the whole season. Two more years in the minors followed until he finally made it to the big leagues in 1975 when he was a member of the San Francisco Giants.
